Guests at the new Atelier Beauté Chanel are asked to stow their belongings in a locker — each named for an icon of the French legacy house — and create an online profile that will track product likes. Then the fun begins. The gleaming, multiroom workshop at 120.5 Wooster St. is a hub of creativity and exploration. Shoppers can try the house’s makeup, skin care and fragrance lines, learn pro techniques, book a service led by one of the artists-in-residence and attend events hosted by industry experts.
