Guerlain at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street

Frank Sinatra once sang the praises of Guerlain’s “Shalimar,” and the scent has been name-dropped on “Orange is the New Black” and “American Horror Story.” Now that iris and vanilla masterpiece, and 15 other classics, are on tap in the Guerlain Perfumer Boutique at Bloomingdale’s flagship. The sleek space is organized like a fragrance library, with a chapter for each creation. Shoppers can select a Bee bottle (above), choose the silken ribbon and style of bow for its neck and engrave a name or message on the glass. Not sure which blend becomes you? Olfaplay Discovery, a quick digital consultation, will help you find your forever scent.
Chanel in Soho

Guests at the new Atelier Beauté Chanel are asked to stow their belongings in a locker — each named for an icon of the French legacy house — and create an online profile that will track product likes. Then the fun begins. The gleaming, multiroom workshop at 120.5 Wooster St. is a hub of creativity and exploration. Shoppers can try the house’s makeup, skin care and fragrance lines, learn pro techniques, book a service led by one of the artists-in-residence and attend events hosted by industry experts. A cat-eye tutorial, for instance, comes with a complimentary Skin Trial kit and a follow-up consultation by phone or in person (from $70). Stay and play.
Pat McGrath at Bergdorf Goodman

Pat McGrath’s Gold 001 microfine pigment (for lips, lids and anywhere else) sold out in six minutes flat when it was first released in 2015. Now, instead of frantically ordering the makeup artist’s limited-edition, straight-from-the-runway wonders online, fans can scoop them up at her new shop-in-shop at Bergdorf Goodman. The entire Pat McGrath Labs collection will be available, from her new FetishEyes mascara and velvety MatteTrance lipstick to her award-winning Skin Fetish line. The legendary complexion whisperer, who’s crafted influential looks for Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada and more, will make a personal appearance on Saturday to celebrate the opening.
